Olive Harvest Tour Highlights

In October 2025, we welcomed 8 guests to Villa Belpasso for a week exploring Maremma, Tuscany for the Olive Harvest Tour. While the exact timing of the harvest was up in the air due to an unusual growing season, we made the best of the time while we waited for the exact moment to harvest the olives.

The weather at the beginning of the week was warm and sunny so we headed for the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea and Chef Dani's hometown of Porto Santo Stefano on Monte Argentario. Highlights included touring the Spanish Fortress overlooking town, savoring gelato as we walked along the sea wall and dining on fresh seafood at Ristorante La Fontanina, the Amato family restaurant.

We sipped ciliegiolo with our friends at Sassotondo Winery, winemakers Carla and Edoardo. Enjoyed an al fresco lunch and wine tasting at Tenuta Montauto (both are "Tre Gamberi" del Gambero Rosso winners!). Visited, tasted and toured at La Biagiola and Antinori's Aldobrandesca wineries, strolled the cobbled streets of Pitigliano and learned the history from our wonderful guide, Elisabetta, and dining on the finest Maremmana cuisine prepared by our very own Chef Dani. We even made (and ate) our own pasta...YUM!

Finally, we received word that the olives were ready for harvesting and bright and early the next morning we'd head into the orchard to start the process of removing the fruit from the tree. We couldn't have done it without the Harvest Tour "Team" under Mario and Giacamo's guidance. It was a blast! And, now we have the 2025 Organic Villa Belpasso Olive Oil to show for the efforts! The 2025 Olive Oil is available for purchase at special events in Woodinville. Contact us for more info.

Join us on the Olive Harvest Tour this October and participate in the Olive Harvest, explore Chef Dani's Maremma, meet our local winemaker partners and soak up the beauty of Fall in Tuscany. If you have questions or you are ready to reserve your spot, please email us!
